As 2022 United Methodist EarthKeepers, Bob and I were expected to have a project. Ours was to develop a resource, Wake Up World: A Curriculum on the Climate Crisis for Faith and Community Groups, which is now available free of charge at www.wakeupworld.earth. It is also in printed form through Cokesbury, Amazon, and Barnes and Noble.
Based on the reception of the curriculum, Bob and I have now created A MINUTE FOR MOTHER EARTH, a series of short video clips for use in worship services. There will be 52 in total, delivered monthly—4 at a time—to your inbox for you to use in the best way for your congregation. In each “Pastor Bob” will share some thoughts and information from the curriculum. Our intention is to help create understanding at the grassroots of what is happening to God’s creation and to encourage all of us to find ways to be stewards of creation. We believe that understanding is one of God’s gifts that helps us find hope in today’s world.
