The Worship Team of the United Methodist Creation Justice Movement has developed extensive worship materials for several years for the Season of Creation. Although the resources were created during a particular year, the resources are appropriate for any year’s Season of Creation. These worship helps are inclusive of children’s learning styles and present a variety of experiences and discussions that fit the theme of the curriculum as a whole.

If you want to focus solely on the material geared to children, these offerings are for you. They are able to stand on their own, separately from the larger programmatic content that is designed for the congregation. Explore these two for potential use in your children’s programming:

First Fruits and Fig Trees: To Hope and Act With Creation

(5 sessions; accessible through this link )

The Serviceberry

(based on the book of the same title by Robin Wall Kimmerer)

(4 sessions; accessible through the table of contents links—just click on the line in the contents and it will take you to the material)

Watch for coming editions of Season of Creation worship resources for the whole congregation, including materials specifically created to engage children.
