December News
Advent is here, and a chance again to tell the story of the Christ Child, drawing in the songs of Angels as well as the promise of Good News for all creation. In this December newsletter find Advent and Christmas Resources as well as stories of local and international action, including stories of United Methodist participation, indigenous activism and youth leadership at COP30, to inspire us to move forward with faith and hope in that promise.
Join us also for Advent Worship at the December 17 Movement Café led by the Worship Team. It will be an opportunity to worship together as the community of faith that we are, reflecting on the story of Jesus’s birth, alongside the question, “What will become of this child?” Children born today will experience our changing climate and its 2050 and 2100 impacts. What those impacts will be rests on “us,” the people and policy makers of our earth. Pray, sing, and worship with us as we seek hope, light, and the Good News “the Child is Born!”
