Advent Worship
This Advent worship service will place the nativity story that we are all so familiar with into a contemporary context. What if the child of hope and promise were born into our world, today? What kind of world would they grow up in? What climate crises & resilience would they experience? What is our responsibility to nurture and care for this child? Through storytelling, liturgy, song, and communal reflection, we will open our hearts to not only welcome the child, God’s love incarnate, but join in solidarity and hope as together we help find our place in the healing of the world.

Rev. Dr. Dirk Damonte
Rev. Dr. Dirk Damonte is a recently retired Deacon in Full Connection. Dirk served in the California-Nevada Annual Conference, where he was Minister of Music and Worship Arts at Los Altos United Methodist Church. In his time at Los Altos, he composed music for youth choir, worship band, congregation, and special events, played keyboard in worship, collaborated on many worship services, and coordinated music and liturgy for worship. He and his wife Carol have retired to Hillsboro, OR.
