A Curriculum on the Climate Crisis for Faith and Community Groups

Thanks to all of you who have helped in the creation of a curriculum for the laity of our churches. It is now available through Cokesbury, Barnes & Noble and other online book sources. We continue to see how important it is to create a base of understanding among as many people as possible. As we teach this six-class course, we are moved by seeing people awaken to this existential crisis and begin asking what they can do.
Now we need others to facilitate the course, (and we thank those of you who facilitated it during our pilot studies in various states). The numbers we can reach are so limited by those we can teach directly. We need others to join us in this educational endeavor. We are glad to do an online training for interested facilitators and to offer support along the way. If you have a green team, perhaps they can sponsor a class series for your church and share the leadership.
Or perhaps your conference director of adult education could help you sponsor some trainings in your conference. We have been in discussion with the leadership of the Council of Bishops to explore how this material can be introduced to local congregations. It is quite easy to facilitate, and everything you need is provided in the book or on our website, www.wakeupworld.earth
