Ten United Methodist affiliated universities received recognition for their participation in the Sustainability Tracking, Assessment & Rating System (STARS), a program of the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE).
“The Sustainability Tracking, Assessment, & Rating System™ (STARS) is a transparent, self-reporting framework for colleges and universities to measure their sustainability performance.” https://stars.aashe.org/about-stars/
Participating institutions earn points through a wide array of possible sustainable practices on their campuses and may be recognized with a STARS Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Platinum Rating, or they may earn the STARS Reporter designation.
