Sponsored by the United Methodist Creation Justice Movement, the informal, virtual space of the Café facilitates conversation, connection, and community focused on creation care and justice issues.

Young Adult Ministries

Young people are a very visible part of the movement for climate justice around the world. What role are they playing in the United Methodist Church and how can the church come alongside and support the
actions of our youth?

In the September 20 Movement Café, we talk with Chris Wilterdink, director of Young People’s Ministries for Discipleship Ministries of the United Methodist Church and William H Morris a faith organizer with GreenFaith. We’ll revisit the origins of the UMC as essentially a campus ministry movement of young adults, how that movement for change has gotten stuck, and explore examples of how some are breaking through with young people to make change through the church and beyond.

Couldn’t make it? Here’s what happened.
