July News

While evident in the steady stream of news about natural disasters, there is also increasing support by scientists documenting the link between climate change and extreme weather and disturbing signs that the earth’s life support systems including water availability, air quality, and ecosystem management, are failing.

In the face of these disasters, members of The United Methodist Church across the connection are responding through early response teams and long term disaster recovery—and also increasingly through sustainable and just redevelopment, resilience centers, preparedness planning and more. You’ll learn more about some of this good work in the featured stories below.

You’ll also find exciting updates on Creation Justice actions taken at recent annual conferences, important action alerts from our Advocacy work group, news about Seasons of Creation worship resources and more.
