August News

With the worsening heat and smoke of climate change, more churches are experiencing disruption of their worship activities and community ministries. The question is, as always for thousands of years, how do people of faith respond? How do they continue to raise joy, worship God, and serve their communities? Churches across the denomination are doing just that, reworking ministry to respond to challenging circumstances with transformational results. That transformation often comes under the umbrella of resilience. In this newsletter and through our August 19th Movement Café we share stories from church leaders about their efforts to offer abiding hope and build ministries of resilience in order to do what United Methodists have always done: all the good they can.
